Japan's Ministry of the Environment released findings of survey of corporate activities regarding the environment. The survey was conducted in December 2001; 2,898, primarily major companies, responded.
The following are some of the results; the figures exceed the previous survey results on all items.
62.7% have established company policies on environment,
76.0% have formulated specific action plans,
31.3% disclose environmental information to the public as a matter of course, and
20.0% have issued environmental reports.
