New Machine Turns Newspaper into Packing Material

Peridot Japan Corporation has launched the sale of the "Newspaper Mokkon," a new machine that manufactures packing material by slicing and compressing newspaper. This new product is designed to produce highly elastic shock-absorbing material to wrap products at a low cost using easily-obtained material such as from used newspapers. Newspaper is simply fed into the machine, where it is processed and turns into low-cost buffering material that can be used in a variety of ways. Using newspaper as the raw material has the merit of being easy to sort, collect and re-use.
