Electronics manufacturer Fujitsu has been recycled waste plastic in all of its products since fiscal 2002, but recently announced the successful development of a technology to remold and recycle the biodegradable plastics used for the main body of personal computers and other equipment.
The company has succeeded in making the material stronger and more contractible than ABS resin, by adjusting the composition of additives. It aims at adopting the new material for the bodies of personal computers starting in fiscal 2004.
