An incorporated body "more trees", which is represented by famous musician Ryuichi Sakamoto, held a signing ceremony to celebrate a basic agreement on a partnership for its forest creation project on April 20, 2010, with representatives from Oguni-cho in Kumamoto Prefecture, Try-Wood Co., which is based in Hita City in Oita Prefecture, and Morotsuka, a village in Miyazaki Prefecture.

Ryuichi Sakamoto visited the three forests in each prefecture before the ceremony, and concluded an agreement in the presence of an NPO Corporation, Kyushu Forest Network. Under the agreement, more trees pays forest maintenance costs to towns and cities and receives the equivalent amount of carbon dioxide absorption in the forests as a credit (J-VER), which will be sold to companies and indivisuals. This is a new scheme that helps rural areas play a role in permanently sustainable forest management with support from cities.

With the agreement being concluded, more trees now holds seven domestic afforestation/reforestation areas.
